Some I drove did, but as you say they were noisy. The one I recall was a fourth pedal to the left of the clutch that just went click when you trod on it to trigger the exhaust brake.

Telma rings a bell now yeah. The best versions had a lever on the dash to pick your level of braking from it. A great device for long hills to avoid riding the brakes

Probably aye, like the electric retarders coaches & buses used to have. Although they were normally fitted on the prop.

Every Bridgestone I've tried has made the steering really heavy & not lasted that well. Along with crap grip in the wet from the older versions.

But then I've only tried the touring ones, not the sporty ones.

5,600 mile or so Ben. If you wear out tyres that quick you bought the wrong ones to tour on. It's not a hardley moves, hooli. Ben No Ben, it's a lowish powered touring style of bike. I get around 8k miles out of tyres on my GSX14 & that isn't ridden slow and has a lot more torque on a similar s...

Not sure I've washed mine in about two years. It's starting to grow moss so I really need to do it.
