Re: Wobland Spottage

This isn't my picture, I'm afraid, I swagged it off t'internet. However, it took me by surprise as I was crossing the road in Southsea this afternoon......

Re: What did you do today?

I decided life is too short to argue with someone on the internet that heat soak from the exhaust manifold when it's on the same side as the intake is a significant problem when a high speed run abruptly comes to a lengthy idle. Also he argued that crossflow engines offer nil benefit in terms of fl...

Re: What did you do today?

Had a busy on today. Changed the T25 alternator belt, waxoyled the latest welding repair (why didn't I do that before it fucking rotted?), put the bedding back in. Cleaned the Focus, painted the shed, wrapped up a present for grand-daughter Series V, went to an antique fair and bought Mrs Rocker a d...

Re: EBay Finds

Why is it always something with original registration that gets rogered? I blame wedding hire for this particular crime and that boot rack can fuck off too.

Re: What did you do today?

All good advice. I store my T25 for the winter and the Minor most of the time at present.... Two or three additional things that I do are leaving a gap behind the car so that you can if desired move it physically to stop the tyres flat spotting. I shunt mine each way every couple of weeks (pressures...

Re: 1956 Chevrolet 210

I had (still have but lost touch a bit) a mate who to my knowledge has run Yanks since the 1970s. He hates noisy cars and says that's what drew him most to his impressive CV of Detroit's ( and Kenosha's) finest.

Remember this......?

Re: 1956 Chevrolet 210

There are a lot of Rambler, Studebaker and Valiant haters amongst that crowd too. Likewise the anti-straight 6 brigade "cos ain't proper Yank". Funny how most of 'em seem content to drive round in eurotrash for most of their lives and only able to take the proper car out if they are organised into r...

Re: EBay Finds

I like coffee but not hipsters, inappropriate useage of old commercial vehicles or paying through the nose for the stuff. Most of the ones I've seen have been butchered to accomodate the Costa gear and spend their lives being backed off trailers onto muddy grass. Triumph Couriers have never been com...
