Re: Sierra, Royale and Range Rover update.

Concur. I would love a p38. Even back in 2006 when I got I got into serial shit-car ownership I wanted one. Ideally a 4.0/4.6 in one of those loud colours like the electric blue. I could easily get one now, but I find myself wanting an L322 now in Westminster spec or something equally impressive* Go...

Re: Electric vehicles, pros and cons. Have your say.

I rather like mine. It costs, when charged privately, about 10ppm and I claim it at 45. I took it on lease because of the overhanging cloud of a congestion charge in Cambridge. It’s paid for by the business. The power delivery is amusing. 320d hero’s trying to hand me my arse on a Monday morning alw...

Re: The car you always promised yourself (but never got around to buying)

Prrrph. I have very modest tastes, as you know. The three that I'd still like to tick off but, in all reality wont, are Renault 16. I was rather jealous of Junkman's - and the collection escapade. Even pre-covid they were on my absolute limit of the sort of money I'm happy to throw away. Mk2 Granada...

What a glorious thing. To me this is proper AS- not someone trying to run a 21st century derv on veg.

Good luck with it.

Re: Rover P4 - Arrived!

Perhaps I should change those original plates to modern stamped reproductions 🤔 It'd need an MOT to get the plate off. I am actually intending to MOT it at some point... Needs a few bits fixing first though as it'll fail on some electrical bits. Rear plate is original. Front repro. Looks like the s...

Marvellous. Well bloody bought.
PS - can I buy the number plate to stick on something inappropriate? It'll light a few touchpapers...

No such worries 5 miles down the road in Nevada, so just consume it there instead

Re: Squire's voitures

In an attempt to cheer me up I took the old Ford out for a spin. Still plenty of recommissioning work left to do but it's been on the back burner and likely to remain there for some time. But, if our masters allow car rallies this year I'd like to take it to at least one. IMG_0606.JPGIMG_0608.JPGIM...

Re: Was: 1985 BMW E28 520i / Was: Finding a Mini / Now: Finding ... fuck knows

In 2007 I bought a 1 lady owner J-reg Mini Mayfair in BRG with 50k miles for £150 from a Toyota dealer with one days test left. I needed a bit of welding but was otherwise mint. I love stories like this. Because, no matter what you say, someone will quickly come along and say they got one cheaper. ...

Re: Was: 1985 BMW E28 520i / Was: Finding a Mini / Now: Finding ... fuck knows

Beige Mini I looked at ended at £4200. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144029931574 I'd have had it for half that, but even I couldn't justify splunking that much on it. This would be a nice project. Still on the pricey side and why it hasn't sold, but would be a nice thing when finished. I reckon it sh...
