EV's more likely to hit pedestrians? The actual story should be "Pedestrians more likely to walk out in front of silent cars without looking"

Re: Two wheels good.

I fitted them because the owner of the bikeshop near me recommended them highly. Maybe it's because it is dry and hot here, and the roads are well surfaced, that they work so well. But I did use Michelin Macadams for years when commuting, as they were so cheap. Wasn't much grip wet or dry, but they ...

Re: Two wheels good.

Just got home-absolutely fucked!! I'll calculate my mileage since 27th April tomorrow. My plan was to take the NC750 to Morocco, then change to the Triumph Street Triple for Czechia. Had a change of mind the morning I was heading off to stick to the Honda, as I knew i would be doing big, fast mileag...

Re: Two wheels good.

On my way home now, yesterday I made it as far as Dole in France, getting there just before 9pm after 12 hours riding. First hour or so in the rain but nice after that, with just a couple of short showers ridden through. 15 hours from there to home, but making good progress. Lunch stop now just nort...

Re: Two wheels good.

Out on a ride with 120 or so Customs officers, and former officers through the Czech countryside. Officers from as far as Norway, Turkey, UK, and, of course, Spain attending. Lots of HD's, BMW GS's and not one sports bike. 20240518_104856.jpg 20240518_104907.jpg Even get a Police escort for the day....

Staying near here, but I won't be going on it. Big rideout around the area tomorrow, over 100 bikes taking part. Not bad for just a group of friends living all over Europe

Re: Two wheels good.

Arrived in Czechia yesterday afternoon after just under 2400 kms. Every kilometer was ridden in sunshine, but it is pissing down this morning. That's OK with me, as I have a massive hangover, and I don't fancy riding today.

Re: Two wheels good.

They are an acquired taste. Different techniques for turning left and right. I enjoyed the Suzuki GS850 and Watsonian GP Sports outfit I had years ago. Many years ago, Keith Wash at Unit Sidecars let me have a go of his Guzzi outfit, properly set up with leading link forks, smaller and wider rear w...

Re: Electric vehicles, pros and cons. Have your say.

Just watched Rich Rebuilds on You Tube about the price slashing on the Fisker Ocean Extreme SUV. Now dealers are getting shot of them for $30,000 (they were $61,500), and he thinks they will soon be $25k, or even $20k.

Seems they are dropping their prices in the UK too, but not so drastically. Yet.
