Re: Wobland Spottage

The mates I am with don't seem to like cars and vans of 50 years ago and think it's odd that I do.

Apologies for yet another Transit but many are hand painted in this fetching shade of blue. They are as common here as I recall them being in London in the 80's

Re: Wobland Spottage

Stopped at this place yesterday on the way to Tafroute. No idea why it is there, or what it's purpose is. 20240503_095611.jpg 20240503_095936.jpg 20240503_095716.jpg 20240503_095741.jpg 20240503_095921.jpg 20240503_095514.jpg They don't sell coffee or petrol, and don't do mechanical repairs. Re: Transit Tales. Owned or rented.

We had a 1987 2.0 petrol back in 1993 as bike transporter when racing. It would cruise happily at 75 mph loaded with two bikes generator, etc. Without a load, it was very rapid and tail happy :-) Loved it, but then we got some sponsorship from a large logistics company, and they lent us a Luton van ...

Not seen one EV in Morocco, nor a charging point anywhere.

Re: Wobland Spottage

I have so far liked Morocco. Fes is OK but the south, Mergouza and Ait Ben Haddou, are excellent, great roads, cheap and good hotels, cheap foot, petrol practically the same price everywhere, and ferries reasonably priced. For me Almeria port is just 2½ hours away, a bit further for anyone from the UK

In another tourist hotspot today (Ait Ben Haddou). Nice walk and great views, but liked these two sights best.

Rode a Quasar many years ago when my brother had one in at his bike shop. Not dissimilar to a modern maxi scooter, but with a rattly roof
