Re: Re:Another Hideous Yank

Just as an FYI.

After shipping getting ridiculously expensive from rockauto and summit for my Buick Roadmaster and Mercury Grand Marquis I now just get most stuff from AutoDoc.

Anything I can't get from them I have to get from RA but only under difference.

Speaking of belts, just don't start it up with the steering on full lock otherwise it's belt jumpy offy/snappy snappy time followed engine rebuild due to the PAS being driven off a camshaft rather than the crank pulley

Re: Steve79 fleet ramblings - Totally lost the plot

Looks a good price that. What was the garage? We're probably going to get more of these cheap cars around here, that aren't exempt from the Bristol Clean Air Zone. Sjh used cars Golf course lane Bristol BS34 7QS Fortunately I have no interest in going anywhere near central bristol l, even for shopp...

Re: Steve79 fleet ramblings - Totally lost the plot

Now this is entirely the dogs fault as i've been going back and forth in my head about selling the saab over the last few weeks trading the speed of the saab for the practicality of an estate. I'm usually sceptical of any cheap car on Facebook, let alone from a used car dealer so the journey across ...

Steve79 fleet ramblings - Totally lost the plot

After the immense rollicking I received from MrsSteve79 for buying yet another shite car in form of the Safrane (an update will come soon I promise) i was, in no uncertain terms told that having two cars on the drive and the safrane, saab and work van parked in the street was the absolute limit. She...

Re: Air con regas?

Afaik they vacuum it and see if it holds a vacuum (i.e. no leaks). If it does leak they'll stop there as not legal to fill a leaky system. They then put the refrigerant in and see if it works. I imagine they'll leave the gas in at this point if it doesn't work, otherwise they'll have to pay for gas...
