It's a no go unfortunately. He doesn't want to sell. He's a hoarder and it'll probably rot there till he dies. Might not be long though. He's in for his second cancer op in four weeks time. We'll find out better then.
Apparently the diesels remap to 300 pretty easily!

They quoted a grand plus vat for clutch and flywheel.
£300 plus vat for gearbox bearings etc. plus labour. I am impressed with the speed they're doing it. I thought they'd have it for at least a week.
I did say the price comes second to the service.

Called in to get my garage keys from the van. They don't fuck about.
He said the clutch was 50% worn and the flywheel wasn't too bad. I might get it back Monday depending how long it takes to rebuild the gearbox. Fingers crossed.
