Re: Sics Consolidated Faded Moderns Thread - 2006 Golf Mk5 GTI & 2004 BMW Z4 2.2 & 2005 BMW 330i

It's cheap enough and done enough miles that I'm okay with it if it does go bang. Cheaper than the cheapest 330i E9x on Autotrader... I did worry it was an internal ABS module fault with all those wheel speed codes. However I'm hoping replacing that sensor will bring that all alive. Iirc it was goin...

Re: Sics Consolidated Faded Moderns Thread - 2006 Golf Mk5 GTI & 2004 BMW Z4 2.2 & 2005 BMW 330i

So error codes. There are loads of them because it's a BMW. Firstly these codes I think all relate to the idrive (big dash sat nav screen thing) module is dead and not communicating. I don't think it's the display as I get a flash as if it's about to start up and then nothing. My suspicion is the po...

Re: What did you do today?

Is that Angry dicky’s Austin parked up in the back ground, in the black and white flickr photo? "Photograph courtesy of Adrian Cypher whose Austin car can be seen parked up at the far end of the lay-by." I don't know angrydicks real name. Richard. But I wasn’t around in 1966. Well spotted...

"I think your car has just arrived outside" *I wipe my bleary eyes and look at the time* Shit it's 9:30am and I just have forgot to set my alarm clock.  *Gets out of bed, grabs the nearest clothes and goes outside* https://autoshite.com/uploads/monthly_2024_05/PXL_20240512_093027403.jpg.05...

One of my mates reckons I hate money.

That's not true. I just seem to have a perverse satisfaction of setting fire to it with cars.

Anyway I have another car arriving tomorrow. Seller is very kindly delivering it for me.

And yes it has plenty of broken bits to be fixed.

Re: What did you do today?

Saw this on the side of the road near home. Cut out on the junction that goes onto a busy 40mph road. Exactly the same place my Spitfire did the same. Chap reckoned it was the fan belt that was loose and it got too hot. Tbh it was pretty floppy. He didn't have many tools on hand as left them in his ...

Re: Sics Consolidated Faded Moderns Thread - 2006 Golf Mk5 GTI & 2004 BMW Z4 2.2

While it's not an MOT failure to have the interior fan broken, I want to use the car this weekend and a broken fan isn't great if you want the roof down. It currently works from the last connector clean up but it's starting to play up occasionally by either cutting out or only running on full. I'd r...

Re: Advice required on selling Bruvvers modern.

Tbh I'd try AT and eBay. Probably eBay over AT as a lot cheaper for adverts.
If it doesn't sell in the first few weeks that the advert is live, then WBAC it.
