Are you going to jetwash the engine bay so you can see any oil leaks ? I think it would make my driveway look like the aftermath of Exxon Valdez if I did that. Just peering in the engine bay shows it's caked in oil. Don't worry, I won't be writing a strongly worded email to the previous owner. Stan...

Re: EBay Finds
When a decent one is under 10k, expect to see one in my garage. Or a Daimler equivalent.
My late nan used to love the MkII. Inspector Morse had one iirc.

Re: EBay Finds
Looks tidy. Must be overpriced to be going down £3k and still not sold in 10months.

Had a poke around on this wheel speed sensor. Disconnected it as I wanted to double check that the abs module isn't playing silly buggers. The connector box was absolutely packed with dirt. I don't think it's ever been disconnected. https://autoshite.com/uploads/monthly_2024_05/PXL_20240512_1736023...

Re: Sics Consolidated Faded Moderns Thread - 2006 Golf Mk5 GTI & 2004 BMW Z4 2.2 & 2005 BMW 330i
It's cheap enough and done enough miles that I'm okay with it if it does go bang. Cheaper than the cheapest 330i E9x on Autotrader... I did worry it was an internal ABS module fault with all those wheel speed codes. However I'm hoping replacing that sensor will bring that all alive. Iirc it was goin...

So error codes. There are loads of them because it's a BMW. Firstly these codes I think all relate to the idrive (big dash sat nav screen thing) module is dead and not communicating. I don't think it's the display as I get a flash as if it's about to start up and then nothing. My suspicion is the po...

Is that Angry dicky’s Austin parked up in the back ground, in the black and white flickr photo? "Photograph courtesy of Adrian Cypher whose Austin car can be seen parked up at the far end of the lay-by." I don't know angrydicks real name. Richard. But I wasn’t around in 1966. Well spotted...

"I think your car has just arrived outside" *I wipe my bleary eyes and look at the time* Shit it's 9:30am and I just have forgot to set my alarm clock. *Gets out of bed, grabs the nearest clothes and goes outside* https://autoshite.com/uploads/monthly_2024_05/PXL_20240512_093027403.jpg.05...

One of my mates reckons I hate money.
That's not true. I just seem to have a perverse satisfaction of setting fire to it with cars.
Anyway I have another car arriving tomorrow. Seller is very kindly delivering it for me.
And yes it has plenty of broken bits to be fixed.
