Re: What did you do today?

If it's anything like the cap on Bantams, the measure is well out for modern two smoke oils. You'll be better off doing it by known amounts & working out how much of a capful to use. Should need less modern oil? It's a long time since I looked at one, but yes I think that's the case. Yes you ca...

Re: Two wheels good.

Racer I knew got a new 1983 Ktm 495 and spent the whole season trying to take the edge off the power !
Doubled up on the head gasket and forever adjusting the timing and the jetting to soften it up .
He rode my yz and called it a big fat lump but 10x better to ride than his ktm .

Re: Two wheels good.

I knocked myself out cold and wrecked my shoulder on a yz 490 1984 model at Golding barn . After I recovered from that I got a 1985 cr 500 it was such a good bike...

Re: Two wheels good.

I've never thought of a slipper clutch stopping you bump starting bikes, makes sense though. I seem to remember five or six of us trying to bump start a massive motocross sidecar outfit in an industrial estate one day, with the intention of doing silly stuff. I honestly cannot remember what engine ...

IMG_1233.png IMG_1232.png IMG_1234.png Had some small cracks starting on the front wheel rim of my old trials bike where the nipples go through the rim . I took the tyre off and found the rim had corroded inside to the strength of crisp packets and dry leaves wrapped in sellotape . Lucky find on eB...

Re: Two wheels good.

It's heavy as fuck. How would I lift it onto a beer crate? It's where the centre stand is where they rot inside and out. From what I've seen there are no frame rails it just looks like pressed steel. Scooters are pain to work underneath, i bungee the front brake on and turn the bars to right lock a...

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances

Funnily enough I was just coming to that conclusion - build up the balls. Never fails, building up one's balls. Thank you Mr Eddie. If you can get your balls out !! With out doing damage to anything , try cutting the finger tips off a rubber glove and stretching them over the ball , reassemble the ...
