Whip the starter off and try turning the flywheel with a screwdriver in the ring gear? ATF disel mix works well

Seeing a RRC pickup in the salvage yard that had gone over on its roof and was flat level with the bonnet when I was young put me off ever wanting to own one

Not sure about that too be honest, ball ended levers aren't a requirement as far as I'm aware, as long as control isn't affected - the old British stuff comes with pointy ended ones.

Plod have actually done something round our way about it lately......Chucked 'em all off the golf course. Funny that, eh? Haven't bothered their arse when they were all over the common, village green, kid's playing fields etc. etc. Still, don't suppose the Chief Cunstable frequents those places muc...
