Re: Me Van

Here I was at Dartford last Monday swapping a Vauxhall engine for a differential . So far so good. I got breakfast for me and the Mrs in the cafe opposite for £4.60. Total. Alright, it was only beans on toast and a cup of coffee, instant frothed up with those steam pipes like they used to do at most...

Re: EBay Finds

The description on the P76- can't imagine a UK seller managing to write that.

Re: Superb Pathe film, BMC sponsored?

You have to wonder if BMC ever bothered to have a proper look at the 404.About the only similarities were the shape and propensity to rust. The French car offered a much more efficient engine and better ride whilst the poor old Cambridge soldiered on just about unchanged dynamically from it's mid 50...

Re: Wobland Spottage

Perhaps these are everywhere now, but it's the first one I've seen. I know there's two different electric cabs with range extenders (a longer flex for all I know) but I think this is the TX . Wheels look better than it's predecessor, but that wasn't going to be difficult. IMG_20190423_135128385.jpg ...

Re: Wobland Spottage

I've just bin out and spotted a rare Maserati Armadildo in a nearby village. These things cost 1000 times more than I paid for my gaylander but I'm sure they give you an even higher level of uncertainty about reaching your destination, so probably worth every penny. Re: The Parallel Universe of R16 Ownership

I have a solex carb, it's a big one by my standards, 40mm. It looks nothing like yours, but then again its refreshingly unworn in the shaft area which is nice, and could just be of use. Free other than £2.80 for The Herpes. Nice to see some Renaultness, I've had mega mileage out of 12s on a shoestr...

Re: Superb Pathe film, BMC sponsored?

I have memories of helping a fellow digger driver try to start his very early Westminster one night. It had a 3 speed gearbox with the overdrive operated by a lever sprouting from under the dashboard. It was the early 70's, the car a rusty hack and his method was to push it with his other motor, an ...
