Re: Found pics
I have never liked those Vauxhalls, they remind me of the day when I got lost at the seaside (I was but a tiny Xtriple) and I got marched around the carpark looking for my parent's car and they were everywhere!

Do the front as a bare minimum. I'm with you; cannot stand a wheel off-centre, it drives me nuts.

Re: What did you do today?
No, strangely the locking nuts are fine it was just one of the standard pain in the arse wheel bolts that fucked up. It has been attacked with hammer and chisel by the mechanic at the garage who I think, thought the covers came off (they don't, they are integral) and so that nut was fooked. I bought...

Re: What did you do today?
I actually did something! I received the new wheel bolts for the Jag yesterday so I charged up the impact driver that I have had for years and never used and went out and changed one wheel bolt! It was a struggle to be honest as the old one was mullared and I had to come inside and find an 18mm sock...

Re: What do you keep in your car "just in case "?
In the Merc I have a spare wheel (spacesaver though) a jack and wheel brace, tyre inflator, battery jump pack, jump leads, a bag full of tennis balls, bottle of water and a bowl for dogs to drink from, a bag full of cloths, polish, touch up pens, rubber lube (Gummi Pflege) polish for the inside, pol...

Re: Found pics
Strangely, I've never liked flared arches on MK2's or Wolfrace wheels for that matter. Coombes arches and wider spoked wheels, yes indeed!

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
A question for the more able-minded... at the service the garage reckoned that the brake fluid is '-1%. What does that mean? Fucked? If so I am a tiny bit more pissed off as it had a brake fluid change at the last service done by Central Garage, so just on a year ago.

My piss artist mother used to drive with a glass of scotch and dry ginger on the centre console. She took drinking and driving to a whole new level!Eddie Honda wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 4:01 am SWIGGING FROM A BOTTLE OF WINE!

with the price of fuel in the USA being so much less than we have to suffer, is that the best you can do, under a quarter full. I despair, you must look after MY car better!
