I got those for the P6, but the return line complicated the installation. Which is a shame, because there was a perfect spot above the radio for the display unit.

Actually looks a little similar to the XJ40 trip computer. All you need is a steady hand and a yellow modeller’s paintbrush. Ok, and a mini display.

But buttons were the future, and still are imo. The top end Renault 25’s were heaven to me. And still are.

Imagine my dismay when the new family Renault 11 TXE arrived without the word ELECTRONIC on the boot lid...

For anyone that hasn't seen or doesn't know, the trip computer is the same as fitted to the later XJS.
I've also found out that it relies on a signal from the speedo in some manner - if the speedo isn't working (it doesn't always, it drops in and out at random) then the trip computer refuses to give a readout.

It will probably use fuel sender info to work out how much is used over x mile an hour for an average then.
