Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Took 5 mins before the left most cylinder fired. Possibly the lead to the plug. Might put new plugs in anyway.

First impressions are it's not much faster than a GS500.

Quite tappety when I got home.

The new bargain basement gear I bought gets mixed reviews. Jacket and trousers kept the cold out, gloves didn't. It was 4 degrees and falling before I set off.

I did enjoy it though. Looking forward to some slightly warmer weather and better road conditions.

I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

That should feel significantly faster than a GS500. Heated grips are the answer to cold hands. I won’t go to the end of my road without them.
Also if you’re enjoying it now just you wait till the summer 😉

My memory of the GS is very old, so probably is faster.
The last bike I had on the road (legally) was a fireblade which might be skewing my expectations.

I'll get something better for the summer, finances permitting.

Being slow is a good thing until I get a few more miles under my belt.

The GS500 only exists to give GPZ500 riders something to laugh at.

We used to openly laugh at these back in the late 80s.
