Impact screwdriver acquired. Front discs and pads done on the Civic. How did I not buy one of these sooner? Witchcraft, I tells ye. A couple of taps with the hammer and it takes out the most horrible, rusted-in looking screws no bother.
I reckon the left track rod end is on the way out / already fucked. That wheel has a wee bit of play in it. A garage can do that job, though.
Talking of getting garages to do shitty jobs; booked the BMW into a shite-friendly garage in Bonnybridge that Split_Pin also uses. They're going to fit the wishbones, track rods and drop links then MOT it on Thursday.
Fuck it. I just want to pay a few hours' labour and get it on the road again. Then I can put the Civic in for an MOT once I have a backup road legal car again.

I've never known an air filter screw to be jammed. He'll smash it to fuck with that ball pein especially with it being GM

Rear brake pads will be collected tomorrow morning.
Split_Pin's recommended garage came up trumps again. £232 and they fitted everything I left in the boot, then did the tracking and an MOT.
That means it has new: wishbones (including all bushes), drop links, and inner and outer track rods. The steering is rather responsive now. All Meyle HD stuff too.
