Do you think Tata has already tried to offload Jaguar to Stellantis for a nominal fiver?

Lancia, it's been dead for years in my opinion and I don’t see this making a big difference.

I reckon Vauxhall can make decent profits and wouldn't sell as many under the Opel badge.

Vauxhall will become an English and Welsh only brand if the SNP get their chance to break up the UK.LynehamHerc wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 4:35 pm Lancia, it's been dead for years in my opinion and I don’t see this making a big difference.

True, if it does it does.
But there'll still be decent volumes as Scotland has about 5m people compared to England alone at about 55m. Yorkshire alone has a bigger population than Scotland.

Not in terms of profitability as it's forecasting a full year loss :
The British automaker, in its earnings statement for the second quarter, had forecast a positive cash flow for the second half of fiscal year 2023 and "near breakeven" for the full year.

Exactly. Far better than it has been doing recently and not bad considering the current automotive market conditions.

Jaguar should have tweaked the F Type to hit 200mph at launch and sold it for a base price of £30k. Then it really would've been the spiritual successor to the E Type.
