Ford ABS pumps are a known thing on my age of Jag too, apparently there's places that rebuild them now

I was offered a 2009 ford Mondeo tdci a month ago by a customer of his. Needed an alternator and battery but the old boy was giving up driving and didn't want to spend on it. Said I could have it for 500 but I turned it down as again I wouldn't trust it as much being a modern ish diesel.

Vice free if it has had the wet belt converted to a chain.

The chap did say the alternator going was his tipping point as he'd done a lot to it lately.

Focus update. Never much to report on this as it's just faultless. Reading 39k on clock now which is around 76k ish total without checking Receipts. It's having a bit of work done this week, sticking caliper being replaced, exhaust rubber hangers due to being baggy, cambelt and crank seal. Also has a weeping seal on sump so that's getting dropped and sealed along with an oil change. 170 quid including labour so can't grumble.

Re: Ford focus mk1
Cost me £360 for my van to have the discs and pads changed along with a new calliper last week. Regreased and put a new clip on the cv boot too.
Doesn't sound bad but I supplied the discs and fucking pads. I priced a calliper when I bought them and it was less than £80. I even supplied the cv grease.
That's £280 fucking labour. For what? An hours work? They're aren't fucking plumbers ffs.
In next Wednesday for a front nearside spring. Only £320 as they'll also have to change the drop link as well. How much is a fucking spring.
