No, they're like Skoda s, they show that you've nothing to prove and aren't bothered about people's opinions.
I'd buy a Dacia as a basic means of transport and leave the 1 Series etc. to people who need to feed their egos.
In terms of classless cars I'd also say Moggy 1000.

See I agree about Skoda's, but anything french is a sign you've given up.LynehamHerc wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 7:20 amNo, they're like Skoda s, they show that you've nothing to prove and aren't bothered about people's opinions.

My missus s Pug 205 was a great little car, better than my Mk2 GTi in some ways , but her Pluriel was pretty crap, albeit far more reliable than the A140 it replaced.
As Skoda has gone upmarket and over to SUVs we'll have to consider a different replacement. Dacia looks the best bet based on our usage. There's nothing out there for reasonable money that'd meet our needs and I fancy.
I know that Dacia is owned by Renault but I'm willing to give them a try as they don't pack as many unnecessary complications in.

Dacias are for those that can't afford a nice second hand car, so buy the cheapest new car to have that new plate on the drive.
Skoda's are for old people. Except the Fabia which seems to be predominantly driven by young and old women.
