I haven't really met anyone in our local Moggie group but they added me into their Facebook messenger chat for event updates. Out of all classic car groups (apart from maybe Mini) they do have a healthy amount of females in them. Not all old either, many millennials and even gen Z

Morpeth Chinese van The Fortune Cookie in the ducks pictures. I remember when the river burst it's banks and wrecked hundreds of homes. The van was stripped, cleaned and open again two days later. It took years for the houses to be habitable again.

Efficient Chinese. The Wansbeck does get rather high. Never patronised the Chinese van, no future plans to either.

So, I towed the scrapper up to its final resting place before it goes up for sale. It’s quite rotten in the usual Minor areas but surprisingly solid in the boot and engine bay. Hopefully someone will take it on because it does have some nice features including the original Ace plates and a mint headlining.

Looks in better condition than mine, especially that headliner.

Stripped Minor radiator for painting, from the scrapper. Removed all dead insects and seeds etc from the fins. The core is in great condition and will give many more years of service. I have no doubt that this was made at Morris’s Osberton Radiator Works, which lasted until 2001 (now houses).

I wouldn't feel too bad about weighing the shell in. It's given you a lot of parts to keep yours going. Keep the plates as ornaments though.

Good luck with the sale though - I hope it finds a home but it seems that nothing is worth 50p when you want to sell it.

So the radiator painting hasn’t entirely gone to plan and has been put on hold. The reason being I only had about a quarter tin left in the aerosol, which infuriatingly began sputtering and clogging. Bloody Eastwood stuff, too. Awaiting next payday before ordering more.

I am however happy to say that the brake servo Angrydicky’s firm repaired for me has been working perfectly now since I fitted it a few months ago. The servo came back to me beautifully as it was in terrible condition before with gouged screw heads, they even fitted the correct slotted screws as replacements as opposed to the later Philips type. Very pleased indeed, although I did take the liberty to spray it all silver before installing.
