Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I rode to Castleford with Nic to drop her bike in for service. Then she jumped on the back of 14 and we went to Batley to explore a few dealers, she's now fixated on a red Z900 once she's passed and can afford it

The driving around there really is utterly third world, the worst I've seen in ages. Nothing to do with all the locals* being goat and schoolgirl fans...
A Z900 beats having a poofy SV650 as a first big bike.
I don't see it happening for a year or two, I don't think she can afford it. It did suit her though.

Out on a ride with 120 or so Customs officers, and former officers through the Czech countryside.

Officers from as far as Norway, Turkey, UK, and, of course, Spain attending. Lots of HD's, BMW GS's and not one sports bike.

I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

That's Quinn parked up now. She needs a service, brake pads at both ends and tyres. I'm away next weekend so doubt it'll get her done till June.

On my way home now, yesterday I made it as far as Dole in France, getting there just before 9pm after 12 hours riding. First hour or so in the rain but nice after that, with just a couple of short showers ridden through.

15 hours from there to home, but making good progress. Lunch stop now just north of Perpignan, about 7 hours left to go.*

Amazing how good bikes are these days. My NC750 will have covered around 9000 kms by the time I get home, and since I left for Morocco on 27 April. Just put fuel in and go.

*Have had to hurry home as have the builders starting work on the house tomorrow.

5,600 mile or so Ben. If you wear out tyres that quick you bought the wrong ones to tour on.

No Ben, it's a lowish powered touring style of bike. I get around 8k miles out of tyres on my GSX14 & that isn't ridden slow and has a lot more torque on a similar size tyre so will chew them up quicker.

Sports touring tyres these days stick like shit to a blanket & last, there's really no need for short lived sports tyres unless you're doing regular track days.
