Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Honda's deemed unsafe due to fatal crash.
Ta, so in both the cases of PC Alan Shaw and PC David Shreeve, it was high speed weave.

I would have thought they might have learnt something over the years. Before the ST1300A, it was the BMW K series doing the same thing - heavy radio gear high and rearward - exactly where you don't want it on a motorcycle.

I've experienced it before when the mega boxes were full on my GT550 and I strayed into 3 figure speeds on the M40. Overall it's less of an issue for a fat lad to shift a bit of load further forwards.
The DSA withdrew Pans from examiner duty for this reason. This meant that I had many a happy ride along in the examiners car during bike tests.

I've just fitted a new TPS on my GSX14. That should cure the rough spot at low throttle openings which made her a pain in the arse to ride sensibly around town etc. Only the third time I've replaced one on that bike, 30k before I expected too as the last ones lasted about 70k miles each. Mind you know I know the fault they give I might be recognising it earlier.

Many years ago, Keith Wash at Unit Sidecars let me have a go of his Guzzi outfit, properly set up with leading link forks, smaller and wider rear wheel, car tyres, etc., etc. I did about 200 metres on it before scaring myself to death. Hated the experience.

I still wish I had bought this when it came up for sale near me, looks like it could have been fun. It may just have become a garage queen for me though.

Arrived in Czechia yesterday afternoon after just under 2400 kms. Every kilometer was ridden in sunshine, but it is pissing down this morning. That's OK with me, as I have a massive hangover, and I don't fancy riding today.

Slightly less exciting here.

I rode to Castleford with Nic to drop her bike in for service. Then she jumped on the back of 14 and we went to Batley to explore a few dealers, she's now fixated on a red Z900 once she's passed and can afford it

The driving around there really is utterly third world, the worst I've seen in ages. Nothing to do with all the locals* being goat and schoolgirl fans...

Batley was bad enough 40+ years ago when I worked there, not as bad as Saviletown in Dewsbury though.

Yeah it wouldn't be my choice of destination, but they've got three bike dealers in about 400 yrds so there we went. Then just over the M62 into Morley for Jordan's bikes before heading back to pick hers up in Castleford.

We really visited all the posh places today!

Staying near here, but I won't be going on it. Big rideout around the area tomorrow, over 100 bikes taking part. Not bad for just a group of friends living all over Europe

A Z900 beats having a poofy SV650 as a first big bike.
