I gave up trying to get a price for this. I told my manager that I'm not having the car, so the company should sell it, but if anyone wants to make an offer, I'll certainly put it forward.

Sounds like someone thinks they know what it's worth so are holding out for a better price. Usually out the realms of reality though.
