I have absolutely no idea, it has a 6 speed gearbox and that's all I really know. I'm assuming it's diesel.

Quattro ?

Got a real like for this era of Audi after having an A4 a while back and recently an A8. Gearboxes seem to be a weakness on them though

I had a V6 diesel one of those. Competent but dull. It wouldn't even drift in the snow, it was that grippy. Boring.

I'd been meaning to weld a couple of patches on my ranger for a while, there was a small hole on each side of the cab sill area, both of them quite easy to repair. An area I hadn't intended repairing was the corner of the tub under the rear lights but I spotted a small blister which turned into a massive rusty hole.
I chopped out the rust and stuck a few patches in, it isn't pretty but it'll do. ImageImage

Ranger failed its mot on a fog light not working and a brake imbalance across the front axle, it had a few advisories too. It got new discs and pads up front and the fog light wired up so hopefully it'll get retested next week.

I got the Audi, it was a bit of a shed, the gear linkage was knackered and it had a massive oil leak.

The oil feed pipe to the turbo was spewing oil, it was quite tricky to remove it, had to remove quite a few bits to gain access and ended up cutting it in half to remove it.

I ended up buying a braided oil line because it seemed like it might be easier to fit.

The gear linkage was a bit of a faff to fix, there's a repair kit for it which is just a plastic/rubber bushing that's placed into the original linkage rod, it's annoying trying to remove the old bush because it's fitted by bashing the outer metal part with a hammer to secure it in place and it needs bent back out to remove and fit the new bush.

It was too difficult to do all of this on the car, I did waste a lot of time trying but eventually gave in and removed the linkage rod and bashed it with a hammer in a vice.
After it went back together the gearbox was perfect, easily selected all gears.

It was actually quite a decent car with plenty of power, I almost considered keeping it but I'd been trying to cut down on cars so stuck it on Gumtree of £1k and took £775 for it from the first person who seen it.

Doesn't look as scabby round the wheel arches as most.

It was just starting to rust on one wheel arch.
