The 1100 Deluxe 2 door was the only ADO16 to have the Mini centre speedo. 1300 2 doors all had the offset strip speedo or three dials (MG) and iirc the only SuperDeluxe 1100 was the four door. There were quite a few around and the centre speedo carried on into the Mark III.

I worked on a couple of these and a Herald back in the day and found them a pain in the arse.

They’re not easy to work on - a contemporary Ford is easy.

No doubt I'll see it again and be on my driveway. An old, low mileage BMW is bound to break and he'll want help fixing it... 🙃

Difference is that, unlike his previous 2010 Fabia MK2 diesel (pile of shit that kept breaking), this is both worth fixing and he'll want to fix it.
