Re: I seem to of done something stupid yet again

This is the big myth with these cars. They are not hard to work on or over complicated, you will be surprised how bolts never seem to round off or snap. The only expensive thing is the horrific price gouging mainly by flying spares. The Austrailian RR clubs give out alternative part numbers but the ...

Re: I seem to of done something stupid yet again

Well I wasn't sure if the seller would go through with it but the car is all paid for and being collected on Tuesday to be delivered wednesday morning. £1370 for the car and £470 delivery so £1840 for a turboR they don't get any cheaper.

Re: I seem to of done something stupid yet again

What's wrong with it? Seems to be a buyers market at the moment It needs welding to wheel arches and sills, a pair of broken front springs but replacements come with it and the brakes want looking at. If worst come to the worst it will give me a turbo engine and box to put aside to build a Turbo R ...

Re: I seem to of done something stupid yet again

Fuck it I am a Bentley owner again. They don't get much cheaper than this one at £1370 for a running driving Turbo R. It is a scruffy old thing but should be a bit of fun. Screenshot 2024-05-31 at 19-34-37 1992 Bentley Turbo R eBay.png Screenshot 2024-05-31 at 19-36-19 1992 Bentley Turbo R eBay.png

Re: What did you do today?

I bought this: 20240528_204554.jpg It's great, so much so that I am questioning why I have the A8, which is constantly broken. I tried to sell this: 20231008_161022.jpg But I have been messed around and the only person who does want to buy it is not able to at the moment. So I put this up for sale:...

Re: What did you do today?

Will changing it to Red actually fix it for an MOT? MOT manual just says if its lit that its a fail and doesn't mention about colour. (g) Engine MIL inoperative or indicating a malfunction - Major If it comes on and goes out and isn't blatantly obviously modified then it passes. Signetics_NE555N.JP...

Re: EBay Finds

I have been following a few auctions recently and prices are certainly on the way down. I was watching a Ferrari 400 on car and classic. It made 10k less than the other 400's for sale and is up as a buy it now at 38k. It didn't make much more than 25 on the auction. Anyway back to bad descisions and...

Re: What did you do today?

That is a bit overkill worrying about a bit of magnetism. Possibly. I've seen a pictogram somewhere in a tool catalogue advising against it. I've a brass clip Koken one. Still have all my 8 original coils in my Jizz. It's a Honda it will still be on it's original coils and pretty much everything el...

Re: 1979 Trouble Spitfire

It's BL crap so they will wear out in a couple of thousand miles no matter what lubricant you put in it. I personally would use grease as it stands a better chance of staying in there.
